Description of Wind Kerbeus Xanthus Bounce-4
Released with the B-202 Random Booster Vol.30 as part of the Burst Ultimate system on September 10th, 2022, Wind Kerbeus Xanthus Bounce-4 is a right-spin stamina type combination.
This Beyblade behaves like a stamina type combination, spinning in the center area of the stadium. The use of the Bounce Performance Tip and the Xanthus Forge Disc will result in poor performances, due to a high scraping risk created by these components.
However, this stock combination has high value, because it features one of the best right-spin stamina Blades, Wind, and one of the best right-spin DB Cores, Kerbeus. Those two components can be difficult to get, adding even more value to this Beyblade.
Blade : Wind
Wind features a wide, circular shape and a smooth, thick perimeter. Three gaps are separating the center of the Blade from the edge, which creates OWD (Outward Weight Distribution), increasing the Blade stamina potential.
Wind has an excellent stamina potential, and its smooth perimeter allows it to excel in both same-spin and opposite-spin battles. Furthermore, the perfectly round and smooth shape of the Blade create LAD potential.
Wind is one of the best right-spin stamina Blades in the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems, alongside Dynamite + F Gear.

DB Core : Kerbeus
Forge Disc : Xanthus
Xanthus has an outer plastic part, featuring a small protrusion which has the shape of a sword tip. This unbalanced design is intended to create synergy with the Xiphoid Blade, Xcalibur DB Core and the “1” Armor. This Forge Disc has a low hanging shape that creates a high scraping risk.
Additionally, it features the “BU Lock” gimmick, increasing burst resistance when combined to “BU Lock” compatible DB Cores.

Performance Tip : Bounce
Bounce is a large Driver, featuring a small, sharp conical tip made of plastic. This tip protrudes from a wider shaft, sitting under a wide plastic ring, a “guard” made of plastic.
The tip is spring-loaded, meaning it can move up and down. This gimmick is intended to soften the impact on the stadium floor when landing, which could in theory improve stamina potential. In reality, the gimmick has a negligible effect, and does not improve Bounce performances.
Furthermore, the fixed plastic guard surrounding the tip creates a high scraping risk.

Armor : 4
“4” Armor has its weight evenly distributed at four points. There are two points on each side of the Armor, making the weight evenly distributed at both sides of the Armor.
However, the center part of this component is hollowed, which can result in the combination tilting over. Nonetheless, the heavy weight of this Armor is often used by highly competitive players in Japan.

How to improve Wind Kerbeus Xanthus Bounce-4
Friendly Use
In a non-competitive environment, this stock combination can be improved by replacing the Forge Disc and the Performance Tip. Any decent stamina driver will do, even Kick will be an upgrade to Bounce.
The Forge Disc can be replaced with many options as well, with the sole purpose of removing the scraping risk of Xanthus ; Illegal, Over, Giga are the strongest options.
If the combination does not feel stable enough, then replacing “4” with 0, 2, 10 or 6 can help.
Competitive Use
This Beyblade features two top tier competitive components : the Wind Blade, and the Kerbeus DB Core. Those two components can be used together to create a very strong right-spin stamina combo.
0, 2, 10 or 6 are the better options to create a strong Layer. Illegal, Over, Giga are great Forge Discs options, and Fortress can be used as well.
When it comes to the Performance Tip, Bearing’, Zone’+Z, High Xtend+’ or Bearing Drift are great choices.
Such components can result in very competitive combination based on Wind and Kerbeus.
Final Thoughts on Wind Kerbeus
While the stock combination itself has poor performances, this Beyblade is a great opportunity for players to get the the Wind Blade and the Kerbeus DB Core.
These two components being quite difficult to get, this model can be a must have for players still looking for these parts.
Furthermore, collectors may be interested by the Xanthus Forge Disc, which comes in a recolored black version. This component is required to assemble Xiphoid Xcalibur Xanthus Sword’-1 (Demon Sword Ver.).
