Description of Vanish Fafnir

Vanish Fafnir Tapered Kick-3 is a left spin stamina beyblade, featuring a blade entirely made of rubber. This material creates high friction, making the Vanish blade ideal for spin-stealing combinations.

Furthermore, this blade excels at absorbing shocks, thanks to the holes located at each contact point. Out of the box, Vanish Fafnir is one of the strongest stock combinations of the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems.

As per usual with spin-stealing combinations, this Beyblade shines against right-spin opponents. In those opposite spin battles, no strength is required : even with a weak launch, the Vanish blade will make the whole combination speed up as soon as it makes contact with its opponent. Against another left-spin Beyblade, the spin-steal is canceled and players will have to launch with power.

With incredible spin-stealing potential, stamina and shock absorption, Vanish Fafnir Tapered Kick-3 is a great stock combination for newcomers to the hobby. On the other hand, beginners may find this combination frustrating to play against (check our guide for some tips).

How to improve Vanish Fafnir

FRIENDLY USE

In a friendly, non-competitive environment, Vanish Fafnir Tapered Kick-3 is a solid combination. If players want to improve it without altering its layer too much, then the driver can be replaced. Kick is outclassed by many drivers, so replacing it with Bearing’, High Xtend+’ or Bearing Drift will be beneficial.

For a more subtle upgrade, then players can pick a different armor. Replacing the “3” armor with “2“, “4“, “6“, or “0” will increase stamina, without affecting the behavior of Vanish Fafnir.

Finally, Tapered is a very good Forge Disc, but it can be replaced with discs such as Over, Illegal or Giga.

COMPETITIVE USE

For use in a competitive environment, for players who are just starting your collection, upgrading the Kick driver by replacing it with Bearing’, High Xtend+’ or Bearing Drift would be the priority.

Players who have a large collection of Beyblades may keep the Vanish Blade only, and upgrade all the other components.

Tapered is a very good Forge Disc, but it can be replaced with discs such as Over, Illegal or Giga. The “3” armor has to be replaced “10” or “0” will increase stamina potential. If those options are not available, “2” and “6” are good alternatives.

When it comes to the DB core, Fafnir can be replaced with Bahamut, because of Bahamut’s incredible burst resistance. Another option is the Longinus DB core, because of its heavier weight and increased stamina potential.

Final thoughts on Vanish Fafnir

The Vanish blade alone is a top tier, highly competitive component. The only other way to get Vanish being a Random Booster (B-194-04 Random Booster Vol. 27), Vanish Fafnir has great value.
